DRAFT FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF THE GROUP CONSCIENCE
“For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority—a loving Higher Power as expressed to us through our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern.”
In Kindr, we are guided not by control or personal authority, but by something greater—a loving Higher Power, as each of us understands that Power, working through the collective wisdom of our Group conscience.
No one person directs Kindr. Our leaders do not govern; they serve. They offer guidance, experience, and stability, but ultimate decisions belong to the Group. We trust that through honest sharing, active listening, and spiritual reflection, a Higher Power will reveal itself in the shared conscience of the Group.
The Group Conscience is more than Consensus—it is a spiritual process. We seek to put aside ego, agendas, and fears so that love and truth can rise. Every voice matters, especially the quiet ones. We make space for honest disagreement, for considered silence, and for change. We do not need to be perfect—we need only to be willing.. we allow others the right to be wrong n the right to be right. It’s ok.
Kindr is not led by charisma, control, or strong opinions. When we forget that, we risk repeating patterns of domination or people-pleasing that harmed us in the past. In this Tradition, we learn to pause, to consult, and to wait. We learn to trust that what we cannot yet see may be revealed through the Group.
Trusted servants—whether they chair meetings, hold service roles, or sponsor others—carry responsibility but not authority. Their role is to serve, not to rule. We thank them for their willingness, and we help them by supporting the Group. No position in Kindr is above or below another. We are equals, united in recovery.
When we honour this Tradition, we build something new: a space of shared leadership, spiritual trust, and deep respect. Here, the will of a loving Power may be heard—not in thunder or lightning, but in the quiet courage of honest people listening to one another.
Key Spiritual Principles in Tradition Two:
Guidance – We rely on a loving Higher Power, not personal control.
Humility – No one has all the answers. We trust the Group Conscience to lead us.
Service – Our leaders serve the Group; they are not its rulers.
Equality – Every member’s voice and presence has equal value.
Patience and Trust – We learn to wait for clarity and to listen for deeper wisdom.
